This week’s articles include a survey of American Evangelicalism, a more in-depth examination on Satan, and light-hearted ending video.

Thomas S. Kidd gives a great explanation of the history behind the term “evangelical” and insight about its connection to political issues in more recent years. This one is a longer read, but it is incredibly insightful.


This article, included on For the Church and written by Sam Bierig, focuses in on clarifying what the Bible actually says about Satan. I’ve noticed that sometimes Christians tend to think of God and Satan as equals in a cosmic battle between good and evil. This couldn’t be farther from the truth- the victory has already been won, and the adversary is no match for Almighty God. Some of these things I haven’t considered- but I think it can be helpful to have a resource to recognize truths about the enemy and call them what they are.
